Two team mates and I were heading back to our camp site at the Sea of Galilee. We weren't sure of the bus number we should take so we asked around but no one spoke English.
A bus came by and we showed the driver the ticket of where we had come from. He told us a number in the 300's and the name of the stop. Feeling confident with this info, we sat waiting, chatting a bit, and investigating the number on each bus that headed toward us. Each number that stopped, was a single digit. This doesn't seem right, I thought. Some time had passed and there were no busses with a number near to the one we needed.
Maybe he got the number wrong?
Maybe we misheard him?
I begin the search for wifi to confirm, but no wifi in the vacinity.
Maybe we should ask someone else?
Maybe someone speaks English and can confirm what we've heard?
We see a student waiting at the same stop, speaking perfect English, and she confirmed exactly what the bus driver had told us. She also told us how much time we had before it arrived, giving us even more peace that we were waiting at the right stop.
On the way home, I thought over this. How often do we question what we've already heard from God?
Maybe he wasn't talking about this particular situation?
Maybe we heard him wrong?
We don't see the evidence of what he's said and doubt starts to creep in. Doubt is Faith's greatest enemy. God comes through every single time and he comes through on time too. Yet there are still those moments that we are left questioning. If God has given you an answer, it's the correct one. Believe it. And enjoy freedom that comes from full surrender.
