It's important to realize that God is at work and we must just join Him. My time in Uganda was a time of taking hands with others and reaching out. We didn't bring an agenda, we only joined God with what He is busy doing in Uganda.
It's sometimes tough to sit and listen for 3 hours to a group of people, but God taught me a valuable lesson. Every day belongs to Him, we must just surrender. It was wonderful to talk to the people in the ghettos and hear their stories. They touched my heart so deeply and brought joy to us.
The one afternoon I was standing next to a highway. The area was dirty with a lot of garbage laying around. It was a beautiful moment, because I had the blessing to stand next to a highway and make a difference in someone's life. The little boy that ran around, while we were waiting with his mom for someone, melted my heart. Why aren't we just like children? Just enjoy life. Stop focussing on problems and focus on the life you have to enjoy. In John 14:27 there stands that Jesus gave His peace to us and that we must not let our hearts be troubled. Whatever the challenge there is peace, but you need to take it.
As I opened my eyes in Uganda I saw all the blessings around me. In good and bad times there are blessings we just need to see them. Open your eyes and realize how privilege you are everyday.
