A voice from above

"I sought to hear the voice of God and climbed the topmost steeple, but God declared: Go down again - I dwell among the people" - John Henry Newman

Hearing God's voice is what this year is all about. When we were sent out on our journey, the same way the Lord sent the 72 dissiples out in Luke 10. With no money, no travelers bag or an extra pair of sandels. The part of listening and recognising God's voice was set on the test for me.

Firstly I learned that practice is needed to recognise God's voice. I can't expect to recognise God if I am just asking and listening in times of need.

Secondly I learned God communicates more then just through voices, images, dreams and the Holy spirit. People are a huge part of His communication. Throughout our Luke 10 journey. We kept asking God to lead us to people or place people on our path, that needs prayer. Instead God led us to our Woman of peace - Ouma Vickie.

Ouma Vickie is Hankey's Mother Theresa. A more humble, loving caring person you won't find. Not just was Ouma Vickie our caretaker but also our advisor on who in town will need prayer the most. Thru Ouma Vicky God guided us on this Journey for us.

I end today with a quote of Walter Reynolds "The voice of the people is the voice of God"
