GCEX 2010
work Your way in AUSTRALIA
For sure I can say that my favourite country Australia has become this year. We were placed in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, where we served for two months with hard work and leading camps for children.
Mountain Trails is a Christian camp, which works with different activities, like horse riding, dirt bikes, activities with ropes, etc. And through the activities will share the Gospel with the children.
We worked on different jobs, building fences for horses, building four little houses for "bike camps" cut and chop wood, jobs with the tractor, digging fields, Ivan and I had the privilege to work on a sheep farm for three weeks.
During these 2 months we had five different camps for children from 7-16 years. Three camps were over the weekend and two school winter camps.
I would like to share about the senior camp, we had 36 kids that we divided into 6 groups with whom we had different activities and the theme of the camp was "Heart" and every day we had different sermons about our hearts, what our heart is, what decisions we make with our heart, where are we going with our heart etc. And the children didn’
t gave much attention the first few days but the last three evenings were memorable for all of us, when the children opened their hearts and God began to work in their hearts. To the Children were given the revelation of their hearts, that it is far from God and that is walking the wrong life path, repentance of their hearts began, the children started crying, asked for prayer, for forgiveness, the presence of the Holy Spirit was so powerful, beautiful to see when youth gets the revelation of God's love and what Christ did for us on the Cross. The day after the
children only talked what happened that night, so many questions, asking for Bibles, it was beautiful to see How their hearts changed. Keep praying for the kids they are our brothers and sisters in Christ.
I wont to share with you a few verses that had impact on me through these 2 months.
Matthew 5:43-46
43 “You
have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44
span> But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
One of my biggest challenges in my spiritual life, I was always with brothers and sisters who have loved me and it was easy to love them back but for the first time I’m living with a person that made me angry almost every day and several times I did not react in brotherly love, but in anger and sin but Christ tell us in:
John 13:34
A new commandment I give you: Love one another! As I have loved you, that you also love one another! By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
I asked to Lord How, How can I do this, I started to pray for my heart, for more Love in my life. I got a big revelation in my heart about the love of Christ for my life but also the kind of love that Paul preached and that is:
I Cor. 13:4-8
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Love- it is difficult and hard, but that’s our calling in Christ – TO LOVE EACH OTHER HOW HE LOVED US and the ALL world will see that Jesus is our savior.
One great blessing took place in Australia, Ivan and I could work on a sheep farm for three weeks and with money we could pay more than half for our year. Praise the Lord.
As I had a great challenge in my spiritual life, so I had a big challenge in physical life, as never before. Every morning we get up before six, have a quick breakfast before sunrise we start to work with the lambs, in one day we work with 1700 to 2000 lambs, we should work with them while they 5 weeks old but this year
they have been late so we have worked with 9-10 weeks ( one lamb is from 15 to 25 kg ), we had six jobs that we did, and that is catch the lamb and set in a small basket do the ear mark and ear tag, vaccine, cut the tail and cutting the skin around the tail, to protect from infection, we were working for full 11 hours with 5 minutes rest in the morning and 5-10 minutes for lunch and the rest of the day is doing these six different jobs. The first few days I was ear tagging and then I was set to catch the lamb which is the most difficult job because in one day I had to catch more than 1,000 lambs until someone replace me. The job is very dirty, when the tail is
cut a lot of blood goes out by the end of the day I was full with blood, on my face, hands, pants. But it was good time and we set a good ministry point for future work Your way guys, it is hard work but its good paid :) I could make more than 1900 AUS$.
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and I hope to hear something from you. Now we are in the Middle East for 2 months, our last lag for this year. Pray for us.
