Fes, Fes, Fes!

This is it! Nothing is familiar. The honeymoon is over, new country, new people, new everything. But its all good, excellent in fact.

Train and Taxi are the only options to leave Casablanca's airport. We opted for train, the cheaper option, but quit expensive.

As directed we disembarked at the correct station, deciding to find a local bus instead of a little taxi cost us a whole lot of walking, Willem and myself left the team with the bags at some point and ran ahead to find the No 7 bus. Finding the bus stop we returned, taking the whole team there. Got on the bus starting to ask people where we need to get of, to our surprise it was the place where we got on the bus. We had walked most of the distance to our add in search of the bus, and now we where even further away. Anyway arriving at our destination tired and thirsty we where welcomed by the neighbors of our host with a letter with instructions sending our team to Fes. I just took us about two hours to get there and now we had to rush back to the train station to catch a train to Fes, Buying some bread and water at the station we had a few minutes to relax on the platform due to a delayed train. 4 hours later we arrived in Fes, had some hectic negotiations for a taxi deal to the venue where our host was waiting for us. We had a awesome time in Fes and excellent hosts. Thank you.

One thing I will always remember is the game of touch rugby with the youth. It was awesome to meet the international youth group of Fes. Another thing to remember, a family in a local village close to the city invited us for lunch whilst we where passing by the village with a long term worker in Fes. Sunday we returned spending a afternoon with the family. Even though everything said had to be translated it was a awesome experience.

Our time in Fes was short, but well worth it, A real blessing how everything worked out. As a team we experienced great provision all our accommodation was for free and we received donations. Thank you!

Till next time.
