My heart breaks for you, Cambodia..

This place really has a special place in my heart. It has suffered so much hurt.

Our first week here we did a kind of Bible school. It was very cool and I really learned a lot. It felt like I was back in school. we even got homework and everything. It was so amazing to sit down and study the Word of God! It was cool to see how the Old Testament and New Testament link together in perfect harmony.

We also got to help build and fix houses in a very poor community.

It is called the 'Place of Thieves' but the dream of one lady is for it to be called 'The Place Where Jesus is King'. We helped tear down and resurrect houses.

It's quite sad. People don't want to give them money, so they give them land. The land is not good at all. It's like dams. So these people build their houses on the water.

Our second week, we stayed with Bro. Andrew ( his surname escapes me:)) He was so kind to take us deeper into Cambodian history. He showed us the Killing fields and the place where the prisoners were kept and tortured. It really helped us understand Cambodia much much better. Because of the Genocide people are much more open to the Gospel.

The four-year period saw the deaths of approximately two million Cambodians through the combined result of political executions, starvation, and forced labor. Due to the large numbers, the deaths during the rule of the Khmer Rouge are often considered a genocide, and commonly known as the Cambodian Holocaust or Cambodian Genocide. The Khmer Rouge period ended with the invasion of Cambodia by neighbor and former ally Vietnam in the Cambodian- Vietnamese War, which left Cambodia under Vietnamese occupation for a decade.

God has a plan for you, Cambodia.

Our ministry with Andrew was mainly with orphans so we did a lot of children's ministry. The children are amazing.. so full of love.

It was such a privilege to be able to play with them and show them Jesus' love and His Father heart. It was sad to say good-bye. The children of that orphanage really stole my heart.
