An Impartation of Servanthood in Greece

We spent one week in Greece. One week that help to shape my life.

Our ministry there was to clean up the accommodation facilities and prepare the camping grounds for the summer season. We were preparing the ground for summer camps...both physically and in prayer!:)

In the afternoons we had the opportunity to swim in the ocean, take long walks along the shoreline, play some sports and explore the little coastal town of Leptokarya. We also had amazing times of worship on the grass outside and around the camp fire at night where God really revealed Himself to us in spirit and in truth.

But if there is one thing about our time in Greece that will remain in my heart forever, it is the example of servanthood that I received from our hosts, Panos and Daisy. From the very beginning they treated us like brothers and sisters in Christ. They shared encouraging testimonies about their lives and made Romans 12:10 come alive for me "Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor." They expected only good things from us and our natural response was to be the best people we can be, not to prove ourselves worthy, but because an atmosphere was already created for us to be just that.

On the last night they spoiled us with an amazing surprise dinner party! By the end of the night they performed the most beautiful prophetic act when they got down on their knees and washed our feet. What a precious moment. I believe that night they imparted something of their revelation of God to us through their humble act of service. Like Jesus said to His disciples, they also sent us out with the words from John 13 "as I have washed your feet you also ought to wash one another's feet."

Through their impartation, a deeper revelation of humility, love, servanthood and showing honor is now a part of who I am. I praise God for His beautiful people all over the world who reveal the character of Jesus in so many different ways through His Spirit and for enabling us to carry that character with us wherever we go!
