Oh, I see how this works!

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16

If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Here comes a super short blog but something I have been so challenged on and also encouraged through while we have been in Guatemala. Before recently I really hadnt realised the amazing freedom that comes from being able to confess your sins, hidden and secret, with other people. I knew that as it says above if we confess our sins to God we are forgiven but the consequences of that sin can still have an effect on your life. Having people no me for who I really am and what I am struggling allows me to be so much more real with myself and others. And it means that people can pray with and for you!!! It truely is incredibly freeing to have  people know the good and bad of me, yet still love me. Just the same as with God. I am so privileged to be able to spend time with southbound blue team in the mornings, being able to pray for each other and whatever comes up and have learnt so much from even this short time. Especially when surrounded by the awesomeness of Gods creation!

So I really want to encourage you to find some people you can do the same with, to be real with. And I really pray that you can experience freedom from that.
