In the beginning of the year I had a stirring in my heart to wash the feet of the orphans in Uganda and give them new shoes...
This is not just a physical need of the orphans being met, but also a prophetic act to release something new in the spirit to them. Washing the feet is washing away all the hurt, trauma and pollution that the kingdom of darkness had put on them. Then, the clothing them with new shoes, is clothing them with Holy Spirit in their spiritual authority of belonging to Father God's family and the inheritance that Father has in store for them.
So, Sunday 4 August 2013, Explore Africa birthed something new in the spirit for the orphans in Uganda by washing the feet and praying for 126 orphans in Kimbilio school, Tororo, Uganda. We released restoration and all the above mentioned words, in their lives.
We know that we cannot give these children new shoes all by ourselves, we need our loving community to help us to sow new shoes. Each child needs R100/$10 for a pair of shoes and a pair of socks. We will give them either school shoes or closed walking shoes, according to the need. Please help us to raise funds for new shoes and socks before the new school term starts in middle September. The final giving date is 2 September 2013. Let's Sow a Shoe...
