I saw a young child of arround 6 years in the isle of a busy street in Agra, India she wore a white dress but the dress was soo dirty at places that it looked black, totally contaminated with dirt. There was no one close to her, to protect her from: cutting remarks, glares and advances.She was so exposed to the world and the evil people in it. Nothing seperating her from this... There is an ever present evil as the streets in India really aren't safe!It struck me so much as every child needs and deserves love as well as someone especially a dad to protect her (them). But she had NO ONE, well at least no one that I could see!
As we were driving away she waved at me with a sort of desperation, in her wave as the bus was pulling away. I really felt like we really had a connection, a God appointment. One of utter love with no strings attached, such as I've never experienced before. I was so overcome with pain for her, thinking of the challenges she is facing, thinking of the abuse she's most definitely exposed to. Saddened in the thought that her sense of self worth is so low that seems to be on the dirty floors of this Indian street. As a posed to what it should be, which is carefree and soaring in the presents of her loving Heavenly Dad.
(This toughed me as when the king of the universe sees her He finds her immeasurably valueble. )
I felt that God says we're all like that little child so exposed and valnerable to the devil who can come and use, abuse, distroy and crush us. Till we feel like we're shattered into nothingness. Having absolutely no value, and the only way forward leads into a dark hole of purposelessness...We need a Dad to come and cleanse us from the dirt and save us from our presumed future. Saving us into his family and kingdom which has eternal purpose. We need God to save us into a relationship of forfilling love!! We need his love to grow, we need a Dad to protect us.
God our Dad is waiting for us, he's longing for us to run into his arms for refuge and safety. We have a driving desire to be loved. To be filled with purpose and to realise how immesurably valueble we are to the most high God!
He's the only one who can save us, as He is the only one who is willing and able to adopt us into his family and kingdom as He is the only one who can and has paid for our freedom. He want to save us into a loving relationship with Him.
Even though I could do nothing for that child - as I haven't payed the ultimate price for her. Only God her heavenly Daddy is able to redeam her. Draw her into his arms and protect and love her unconditionally. As well as provide for her and give her every single thing she needs.
God is a God who's heart breakes and aches for our brokenness He's the one who longs to restore us. The one who longs to lift us from sorrow into joy. The one who wants to break all our chains and set us free!Who wants and desiers to have a loving intimate relationship with us so badly that he gave his only son in order to have even a shot at a reationship with us. Even thoughh he created us and is supreme, He chose to give us free will to chose or not to chose Him. To chose our Loving Dad.
