She’s Special

With tears in my eyes and a song in my heart I realised that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life! It's hard to verbally express God's love so putting it into deeds seems easier. In a way it feels like I'm overflowing with His love and He's pouring it into the lives of the woman around me. God permitting I want to keep on doing this and being this for the rest of my life!

It all started in Malaysia; on our last day there we had a course on discovering and developing our spiritual gifts. It was there that I realised and without shame admitted that I love beautiful things. I also feel very strongly about women and, as Renier so rightfully stated, I probably told my mother how to give birth. (Delegating comes naturally to me...) Here the idea was born: I want to host lady conferences, girls' nights, female get togethers, whatever you want to call it. Not your normal cake and tea though, I'm talking haute couture, sapphire, diamonds, champagne, rich chocolate cakes, delicate cheesecakes, you name it, I'll flaunt it! The aim is to show the lady how special she is in God's eyes, to address the hurt, to give breathing space to the over-worked, to spoil the neglected.

In Guatemala I got my first opportunity. With an outstanding team behind me we organised a ladies' night at the church. Lilian, the pastor's wife gave a teaching on The Helping Woman. We painted cards, arranged flowers, prepared a lovely meal, offered life entertainment, washed their hands and feet and prayed for them. All we did was set up the framework, God came and made the evening about Himself. He came and personally spoke to each lady, He assured her of His love for her and gave her some flowers to take home.

Sitting back and listening to the girls' laughter, seeing the gratitude on their faces, knowing that we were merely the hands and feet of Jesus, must be the most satisfying experience of my life. God permitting I want to do this for the rest of my life. I want every lady to know that she is special, that God loves her and that she deserves more. I'm overflowing with ideas and can't wait for God to put them into action.

Love
