First lesson, in the final class of GC

The next episode...:)

Q; Whats was the most difficult thing for you in this time?

A: Learning God's true character, we can never know everything about our Creator but walking with Him, you get to know some of His characteristics. This has been hard because He shook my world, He showed me that in fact I knew absolutely nothing about Him and really showed me who He truly is.

Arriving in Dubai I had a few days to get my visa sorted out, to put you up to date, it was almost impossible to get the visa in a period of 2 days, but we were going to try anyway. I arrived at my hotel after spend 50 Durhams on a taxi(which is about R100) this is the average price, still a bit down and out, after my episode in Egypt and now spending more money in a 30min drive then in the whole Global Challenge travel team can ever dream of using. I arrived at the hotel, this hotel was something like 65floors, it was the tallest hotel in the world a few years back, and the best part was: it was a five star hotel.

Everything was great, a Global Challenger couldn't ask for anything more. Sitting at the desk looking out upon all the other wonderful buildings and planning my visa as well as my finances I get a phone call from my father's work and the driver says that he is here to pick me up and off I went, forgetting my wallet on the desk. We went to the Ir*n embassy where they told me a whole bunch of stuff I needed from travel insurance to a new form, I was so completely doubting I should even be here, but I still felt that I couldn't turn back now. The driver sat me down and said: "Don't worry, I will do everything" and just like that my passport was in the embassy and I was getting my visa!!Bad news was that because we were just too late I will get it only in 3 days time, and my flight was the next day. Well nothing I could've done because that was in God's hand.

I arrived back at the hotel, planning a trip to the shopping mall because the leaders asked me very nicely to get a neat pair of jeans. I grabbed my wallet and re-looked at my money, and there folded neatly(like I normally do with foreign currencies) I saw 15euros...I thought maybe I had 30euros but I knew that that was impossible because then I would've had a 20euro note instead of a 10 and a 5. My heart stopped and I knew that it must have been Jesus. I set off to the mall and bought my new pants.

The next morning at 9 o'clock i get a phone call and the drive from the day earlier says "you will never guess, this morning I was helping the MD move from house to house, and I get a phone call. It was the embassy and they said they have your passport and could I get the passport, so I'm outside your hotel" I almost started to cry for the doubt in my heart. I went down stairs and he exchanged numbers with me and told me that next year I must call him and he will get me up to pakistan to go and hunt. I just nodded and said "for sure buddy".

God is so good, I packed for the rest of the day and went to the airport, free of charge because it was payed by the hotel. I arrived at the airport and there were A LOT of people. everyone was rushing pass me as I was heading to the check-in until I realized I had NO idea were I was actually going, certain counters were only for certain destinations all situated in areas according to continents. Everything was so big and I made my way to an Emirates man who was standing, looking very board and I asked him, where do I go for this flight, showing him my ticket he replied "right here" I almost fainted, in less the 5 min I was almost leaving, meeting up with my dad on the duty free side of the airport, I was getting ready to fly to my final destination.

Best part about this, using my dad's miles I got bumped up to business class, and so my journey began with a bang!! A journey that was about to shake my world from north pole to south pole, and why? Maybe because I never knew who God truly was, but the first lesson I learnt was: He was ready to teach me!
