"Lights will guide you home and ignite your bones."
Words that kept playing over and over again in my mind as the lights of all the cities of Africa came alive to guide us to a place that feels like home. I finally understand why they say "Your home is where your heart is."
Israel...A place where Jesus' presence screams : 'HERE I AM , COME FIND ME!" And boy did I find Him. Oh Israel, how I've longed to walk the streets of your ancient cities and gaze upon their splendor and beauty. How glorious the history that you hold.
The History of my Savior who's beauty and love I will never comprehend, even if I walk in His footsteps of the Via Dolorosa. How my eyes have been opened. How He suffered for our transgressions, being ridiculed and cursed. And He did this expecting nothing in return. He loves us so much. Walking the path of the cross was like hearing about Jesus for the first time and your heart just going: "OH THIS IS WHAT TRUE LOVE IS!!"
The Wailing wall was a monument to behold. It was beautiful. I felt the presence of the spirit moving through the walls and the prayers the people put there. I just wanted to go and sit in God's presence. Because He is there, HE IS ALIVE, HE HEARS THEM, they just have to open their eyes and experience the love He has for them.
I wanted to weep with them but then again dancing with the team to "Al julle volke klap julle hande..." in front of the wall...PRICELESS.
Having communion with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ was that minute of quiet in a loud shouting world and experiencing the town of Jesus, Capharnaum, was a blessing that can not be fully expressed in words. The Spirit of the Lord is so close and moving constantly, waiting to be witnessed by those that have not yet seen or experienced Him.
Israel...You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you. You have shown me Jesus like I have never experienced Him before.
I was enchanted to meet you!!
Till we meet again...
