Back to the future?!

The last couple of days we have been camping in Macau at Hac Sa beach and we have really been enjoying the calm, clean nature until.....the typhoon hit!!!

The first couple of days we had was very warm, humid and sunny, but all of a sudden the wind started picking up on the third day. I thought it would be something that would pass in a day or two, but boy was I wrong. It only grew worse and more intense with wind speeds picking up and rain following shortly after!

It was not that it was unbearable, but it made our debrief time extremely difficult as we had to get together in groups to talk about our experiences. Luckily our Heavenly Father knew this typhoon was coming long before it even hit. That is why He sent Sam our way.

Sam is a pastor which we met by 'divine appointment' on a bus. He invited the whole GCX group to spend the night in his flat along with his wife. Little did they know what they were getting themselves into...

After setting up camp in their living room we discovered they have wireless and an internet cafe  was set up shortly! The warm shower was also welcomed as we only had cold ones at the beach.

 T

hey also offered us the services of their washing machine and tumble dryer which we were very glad to use and we kept these two machines running till past 4a.m. in the morning. Herman and I slept in the kitchen so we were automatically the ones on clothes duty for the night.

Is it not awesome serving a loving God that tend to our needs and get things in place long before we even think of asking Him. As the song goes: 'He is indescribable, uncontainable and unfathomable....'

Writing blogs etc. while waiting for the clothes

Love and blessings
