Missing God on a missionary trip!?

How can you miss God when you are in His will, doing the work that He called you for...?

This may sound ridicules or even impossible, but it can happen so quickly and so easily. I didn't even realize it until God came and rocked my boat, and He rocked it hard! The focus of everything had shifted and it was so subtle that I didn't even realize it. It had shifted from focusing on God and being a servant to focusing on myself and trying to do everything on my own. I was so result driven, wanting people to get saved and healed, that I became deaf to what God wanted and did what I thought God wanted. We should never let the work we do for God come before the love we have for Him??Brother Yun

This happened because I was spending hours in God's Word reading, but no time with God in prayer! Don't get me wrong, it is very important to read the Bible, but it must go hand in hand with the time you spend in prayer. The way that God came and showed me that I was missing the target by a mile was through the question how much is a soul worth??This got me thinking; what if God told me that for every 24 hours that I pray someone would be saved. What would I say to that? The worst part was that I couldn't even answer my own question because I knew out of my own strength I might get 5 people there and it wouldn't last very long. That is when I realized that out of myself I can do nothing, but if I allow God to use me and work through me, then He can do anything!
I would like to leave you with this quote from the book 'Heavenly Man - "When we arrive at the end of our own strength it is not defeat, but the start of tapping into God's boundless resources. It is when we are weak that we are strong in God."

Blessings

Marcel
