If you also have an ongoing battle with these remenents of the plague, you might just appreciate the following revelation I had regarding them..
The sky blue lights up with deeper tones of wander and you stand in awe of the bright yellow, peach and golden ocre lights dancing on the clouds. Birds are gracefuly flying by and the landscape below is being bathed in peacefulness. The sun is setting and God's glory is being shown by the skies as only there it can be sung about.
You are speechless.
All of the sudden you feel a small sting on your ankle. You irritatedly slap at it, leaving a bloody mark and all of the sudden, they are every where. Mosquitos flying all over, being a cause of serious irritation and frantic hitting at at the moving air. You run for cover.
Sometimes, life is like this. You stand in awe of God's glory and all of the sudden, life lays siege on you like mozies at sunset. Confused you run for cover, away from God's ultimate plan for you in fear of these little
pests. We forget that when Jesus died for us on the cross, the blood He paid for our sins became like the ultimate tabart. It was spilt sothat we no longer can be overcome by the things of the world. We can stand and enjoy His amazingness amist all the mosquitos without a fear of being bitten, for this is how much He loves us.
May the peace of God be with all His people.
