The mountains lay slow moving in the mist, floating shapes in a murcy distance. Fading into the sky with no clear foothold they cast a shadow on the quicker moving sands that flow from their feet. The green plantations, brought about by human irrigation from nearby rivers , is an overture to the contrasting dry landscape behind it. It moves past rapidly as the bus finaly nears our destination: Chiclayo.
The Peruvian landscape in the surrounding area is a portrait of beautifull duality; patches of ush green vegitation laing on a bed of lonely dessert.
Are these sands be as lonely as they seem? Away from the luxeries one is used to, should one realy feel as given over to the elements as one does? Here the earth is layed bare before the Lord. It is a sea of sand singing in chorus that God is the only provider. Scattered across the dessert are rivers that seem out of place but join in with a melody that sings that God is the only source of life.
Hidden World will be hiking into the Mountains of Peru for the next 11 days (starting on the 7th of April) for ministry.
Watch this space :)
