Our journey up to now...

Flight from Johannesburg to Egypt

24 November 2008

Spent a day in Egypt - what a day it was. Johannesburg traffic is nothing compared to Cairo traffic.  In South Africa we have 3 lanes but in Cairo they have 5  and to make it even worse they just ignore the white and yellow lines.  All the cars are scratch and bumped but still they don't have road rage - what a good quality.  You can pay me R1000 000 and I won't drive there.  There is no traffic lights or stop signs.  You literaly have to hold your breath at times.

The peoples eyes are dead and cold.  Your heart really breaks to see it.  Their love for money so huge that it becomes  like a god to them, making them forget about every thing else.

We prayed alot for the country.

At 03:35 was our next flight to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).   2 seats  turned Egypt Air into now my new living room, it really feels like a bed.

Malaysia is beautiful.  People are friendly and helpful.

We went up in the twin towers and prayed for the city and the people.

Our flight was cancelled and the team felt that we should over land because traveling like this enables us to claim more for God.  Some of us had the privelidge to talk to some of the people on the train.  One of the ladies shared with Helga,  she wished she also had so much freedom because she can only visit her brother.  She is not allowed to even leave her country.

Thailand - I'm in love...

If I had a choice I would stay here.  I love the people and the country is gorgeous.  I feel I'm on honeymoon with God.  I never knew that anything can be this beautiful.

God blessed us with amazing accomodation.  We couldn't afford it, but they asked us what we are able to pay and then decided to give it to us for that prize.  Beautiful view of the beash from our room.  What a blessing!

We spend some time with the 3 genders of people: male, female and lady boys.

The sad thing is there is a lot of older men who only come here to pick girls up.  It really brakes your heart to see the immorality.

Please pray for Thailand, they really have a hard time with the new president and it is hard for them.

This is our journey.  The team is great.  They feel like family.  God could not have chosen a better team.

We are safe (for those who have seen the news) and we see God`s guidance and hand working!

Love all of you

Mariet
