What A Journey!

I’ve been in South Africa for only 5 days, however it feels like forever…in a good way! On November 14th I headed out for my journey around the world!  Only 2 days ago I met the rest of my team…I really like them!!  It is amazing…it feels as if we have been together for weeks.  There are 9 members of our team who have been meeting together each week to pray and prepare…this pre-preparation has definitely made a HUGE difference in our team unity!  I don’t think they mind having an American teammate (the other two Americans with us are part of the leadership team).  The challenging part is that Afrikaans is their native language…they learn English from grade 1-12 so they are ‘fluent.’  Many of them have not spoken English a lot, however they are making a great effort to speak English…sometimes I have to remind them English please

!  Please read their blogs when you get the chance.  They are trying to write in English as much as possible so our American friends can 'meet' them and see the ministry through their eyes...that's you guys!

There is so much I would love to share with you, but the remainder of the team is almost finished blogging and I don’t want to make them wait too long on me!  Stay tuned…I’ve shed many tears today…good tears!  Let’s just say that God is definitely softening my heart, as if it needed anymore emotional softening, for the ministries we’ll be working with!  Please keep praying!!

P.S. these photos are from a visit to a Lion Park, basically a small zoo where we were able to go and pet a lion cub, drive through some lion habitats, the second photo was taken there.  These photos are courtesy of my friend Kim!  You'll have to wait til I get home to see any photos I took!

the camel totally scared me...can you tell...then I met the KING!
