The past week we've been traveling from Morocco to Senegal.During our trip since Tiznit we've had a quite an adventure. Our stay in West Sahara was amazing as we were welcomed by friends, which not only encouraged us, but also gave us the chance to pray and minister to them. We ate camel meat, for supper and watched a video clip on how the west Saharan people live in the desert. The desert culture is quite unique and it is said that there aren't any believers. The vision for West Sahara is to keep a foot in the door between North-West Africa and West Africa. A bridge needs to be created between the Saharan people and other believers in the contintent so that the Message of the Gospel might be spread. Another thing that we observed , was the military presence within the area. There are police/military checks every few kilometers on the desert highway .If felt to me as though there was big tension in the disrict. We often saw fighter planes take of to patrol the borders, and some parts of the desert are just off limits ,because of the landmines. Please pray that God will send people of West Sahara
