Almost like home. We are leaving. Again.
We have been living in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 6 weeks now. Thursday, 21 August we will fly to Turkey. Mostar is a beautiful city that had to suffer in a war 20 years ago. Today I can, with joy, say that we had the opportunity to experience the coffee culture and the lovely people of BiH.
We worked and played hard. NoviMost is an organisation started by missionaries. The main purpose is to encourage and love the youth of BiH. They have several “stations” in Bosnia and Herzegovina and we could spend time with the Muslim and Catholic youth. So basically we could play games for 6 weeks. A few times we worked hard on a farm to dig holes and plant cabbages.
God made each one of us grow deeper within Him, which is awesome! He taught us about trust in Him, faith in Him, how to love, obedience, honesty, how to work as a team and to be willing to do His will and step out of our comfort zone. This time of growth was not easy at all but definitely worth it. God is GOOD!
The people are lovely and we had a great time getting to know them and we want to resume having contact with them. Great friendships and close bonds grew between us and the young ladies and gentlemen of Mostar.
This is a testimony of how God blessed us with accommodation and meals. He spoiled us and made us feel special by experiencing Him providing in our hearts desires. Thank you Lord, Amen.
