I can start no other way than to say what an amazing experience it has been so far, to travel to all this places and to experience God in such a diffirent and deeper way… The Lord took me on a specific journey wich I would like to share.
I was exposed to alot of diffirent ways of worship and so many diffirent denominations within the Christian faith. Most of them left me way out of my comfort zone, to say the least… But I came to a point where my heart just yearned for revelation and fellowship with God and there my blog idea began.
We are so quick to say the way people are worshiping is wrong. It’s so easy to see something and make assumptions, without knowing why they are doing it. But what about the log in our own eye?! For me it was: TRADITION. So easy to say that people got stuck in the old covenant, but where do you draw the line?
DO I KNOW WHY I AM WORSHIPING IN A CERTAIN WAY?
Or am I just doing it because it is the way it’s been done for generations or even just since I’ve come to Faith… Did I snuggle up in my comfort zone? Take Moses for example: He was to hit the rock the first time… AND IT WORKED! Because he acted on the Word of God. But the second time he decided to do the same as the first time, inspite of God’s command to him. Moses knew it worked the first time and maybe the second time he was already in a comfort zone… is it so easy to fall in the hands of traditions and comfortable religion?!
Jesus answered: “ The hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” That verse bring me to the following: Do I worship in spirit and in truth? That means that everyting I do is lead and inspired by the Spirit… Do I worship at a certain time and in a certain way because it is the norm or is it the Holy Spirit that leads me to do something. And even so, do I wait on the Spirit everytime or do I follow the previous steps, because it worked?!
Lord, Jesus Christ, may I be a true worshiper. I surrender spirit, soul and body and submit under the authority and leadership of the Holy Spirit. Let my lifesong sing to You, Father. I want to sign Your Name at the end of each day, knowing my heart was true. Amen.
