It’s TIME!
The excitement is rising, the passion is exploding, the fire is spreading, the rivers are flowing, and the freedom is taking over! God is taking over!!!!!! Will I step into this? Will YOU jump in??? God wants to free every part of who we are and He wants us to walk in HIS FULLNESS! When God frees us and brings breakthrough, it’s our choice to continue to walk in it. I had the blessing of getting to go on a 5 day hike on the Outeniqua trail this past week. It is a beautiful hike with beautiful views! I went with 15 others and it was quite the walk and quite the workout :) . As we walked God challenged me.
On a hike you have the option to walk alone or walk with others. He asked me, Will you walk with this new found family around you or will you walk alone? Hikes are such a great example of life. Each day you walk a certain distance, trying to reach a certain place. You may climb mountains, cross rivers, or walk easy paths. You may get wet, you may fall, and you may carry bigger burdens some day (depending on the amount you pack :)). As we walked I found it for the first time so natural for God to be the one I am talking to in each moment. Before I so struggled with remembering to speak to Him and it came out of striving. Here I was just able to Be. Not just Be in Him but also BE in a Family.
Being here in Jeffrey’s Bay and learning to BE me, BE in Him, and BE in a family has been such a blessing. I have become even more free! You know how, each day we get frustrated or may struggle with some emotion, thought process, or struggle to lay down things .Each of these things often can be rooted in us and need to be pulled out or transformed. God reveals our brokenness because He desires to heal it. This is what this journey has been. It’s been a hike and a great work out! But He has shown and revealed, he has freed and he has healed. I was given a word from the Lord about a month ago, that this year would be a year of freedom for me. Freedom comes in all different ways and forms in our lives I have been baptized and raised in even greater freedom! 2 Corinthians 3:17 says “The Lord is the Spirit, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” The Lord is the Spirit, the Spirit is within us, and therefore freedom is within us! Freedom reigns in THIS place (in me and you)!
It is a miracle that my body has healed so quickly and that I was even able to go hike for 5 days and 76k’s! God has been stirring my heart and the other Global Challenge staff and we all feel it is now time for me to meet Explore Africa and continue on the journey the rest of the year! Freedom is mine now I must GO! So I am heading to Tunisia on April 24 and will continue with my team from there. God is a God of perfect timing! Now I am going more free and with the support of my new family here at Global! So let’s go on this freedom journey together! What’s wonderful is now it is even a greater faith journey, believing God for finances, visas, and all the above! May you jump into your own faith journey.
