I only realized now, that all the failures of trying to spread the word of God, was only because I did not listen to what God wanted me to do or say. God actually had another plan for me in all those times I tried to follow my own mind. We need to find out what God’s strategy is in every situation and not to rely on previous successes.
The reason why I say that dead works is a faith killer, is because the devil uses this to keep ourselves busy with religious deeds in such a way that we become blind to the word of God. Busyness is one of the biggest enemies of God.” A dead work is anything that is not initiated by the Holy Spirit.”
We need to walk in the spirit and constantly remind ourselves to do this, so that we can make the choices God wants us to make. We all need to know what the voice of God is, and seek God. I know, by just looking back in my own life that I was too busy for the Lord, by doing religious deeds. This is because I did not make myself available to the Holy Spirit in every day life.
Many of us already know all of this, but we need to realize that this is a very important concept for new believers as well. I believe that we need to repent of anything that is not birthed or initiated by the Holy Spirit.
God wants us all to trust in Him and obey His commands in order to build up His Kingdom, that is why I believe that we should all remove the influence that dead works has on all our lives.
