A little late but here's my experience on Brazil.

Brazil was one of my favourite countries so far. First arriving in São Paulo my first feeling was I could definitely move here and as we went on with our journey that feeling just increased. Once arriving in Brazil our team split into 2 groups I was privileged enough to be in the group that stayed in the city and did had a ministry point in a local church. Our small group split into groups of 2 or 1 and was spread around the city being housed in people's houses form the church. The other members of the team were located within 2km of the church, but the place I was being housed was about 7km away, which at first frustrated me being so far away but soon I saw that it was an opportunity for exploring the city while traveling back and forth to the ministry point. It turned into one of my highlights of that country being able to skateboard everyday weather I knew where I was going or I was lost. The church where were doing our ministry set us up with some other local church's where we also would stay and encourage the people wherever we went. After doing some street ministry I realized once again how simple things like a skateboard can be such an opportunity for uniting people and making a ministry opportunity even if you don't speak the same language. God started teaching me a lot of new things and really started building my faith thought good and bad experiences in and out of the group. After São Paulo we traveled to Rio de Janeiro. Staying there for a week in the slums we met up with the rest of our team and started exploring the city making our way to the Jesus statue and to Copocaban Beach. My over all experience of Brazil was amazing I love it and I can't wait to go back! I've learned so much and grown a lot closer to God in my time there.
