So we arrived safely in Nepal yesterday, but there is a great story (testimony) about how we got here...
We we started planing the Hidden World journey in the beginning of the year, the idea was to go to New Zealand in September before going to India. That unfortunately was never in budget, probably because God had very different plans.
So arriving in India on the 7 September we had 3 ministry points (all being orphanages) to chose from and where we need to go for the month of September. We started praying about this and the evening when I asked the team to write down what they felt God said on where we should go, everybody had the same answer, Nepal. This meant buying flight tickets from India for $200 and $40 for the visa which you get on arrival in Kathmandu, which was obviously not in budget. The thing is, if God sends you He will let everything else work out as it should.
About a month ago one of our contacts, a pastor in Panama who also be came our friend, felt led by God to give us a donation for the last 2 months of our time. (We are very grateful for him and his wife's obedience.) So with this money there was enough to cover our flights to Nepal and everybody had the funds to cover the visa costs. So the doors started opening up for us to come to Nepal. Once I told this pastor hat we will be using his money for he was overly excited about this, which I couldn't understand. This was his reply on my email:
THE REASON THAT MY WIFE AND I WERE EXCITED TO LEARN THAT YOU WERE GOING TO NEPAL IS THAT WE HAVE PRAYED FOR THAT COUNTRY FOR OVER 40 YEARS. WE HAD SOME FRIENDS THAT WERE MEDICAL MISSIONARIES THERE IN THE MOUNTAINS FOR MANY YEARS, THEY HAVE RETIRED NOW AND LIVE IN THE STATES…. BUT WE HAVE FOLLOWED THE NEWS FROM THAT COUNTRY AND ACTIVITIES FROM YWAM THERE. SO PLEASE KEEP US POSTED AS MUCH AS YOU CAN SO WE CAN UPHOLD YOU IN PRAYER. MAY THE LORD GIVE YOU MANY DIVINE CONTACTS AND SIGNS AND WONDERS.
This was definitely confirmation for that we are moving in the right direction.
So we arrived yesterday with the plan of visiting an orphanages here for about 10 days. I was so excited about this ministry because if children start changing, their families will change one day and that will be the start of nations (and this nation) to change, so I have always saw this as insignificant, but God definitely started changing my mindset on that.
God has been starting to close the door to the orphanage and we are currently praying and seeking God in where He wants us. He sent us here, He gave us a message to share with people and now we are just waiting on further instructions from Him and very excited about it. I mean, if He went through so much "trouble" to get us here, there is definitely a mission for us... to be continued.
