Finances???

Peru

### AN IMPORTANT VALUE LEARNED ####

%( PART 1 )%

Finances is a personal topic. We are all ashamed to talk about it, especially if you are a Christian.

@ How are we going to use our money?
@ What should we buy and what not?
@ How much should we give to the church ?
@ Should we give our money to the poor ?
@ Should we give our money to a NGO ?
@ Should we take out a loan form the bank ?
@ Should we spend our money on luxuries ?

These are the questions that haunt us every month? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH OUR MONEY!

And that is the problem: our money.

It is not our money, it is God's money and it is for His kingdom.

I am not an expert. I am 19 years old and a spring chicken to the adult live. I have no idea what daily life is like. I have no idea how medical bills or even petrol bills look like. I have no idea how much food costs, etc.

With this said, I have probably no right to speak about finances. Well, just hear me out...

During this year I traveled around South America with as little as R3000 ( $215 ). That is not a lot of money, especially if you need to pay for visas and tourist cards.

The great thing about this is that you start trusting God for your finances. You start trusting God  to take care of you.

With this mindset, you find yourself praising and thanking God when  something is cheap, when something is 50% off and when something is for free.

One day I was out with the team to the mall and I was craving  McDonalds. I was in a tug of war with myself,  " I do not have the money, but I am really hungry. "

I sat down and asked myself, " Is it worth it to spend my money on LUXURIES?"
And that is where God spoke to me, "YOUR Money?? No, no, My son it is My money. I only give it to  you to carry around, every cent on you is Mine. I provided it, so it belongs to Me. "

That day I learned a important value for the future.  Before I buy something now I ask Him if I should buy it or not. Sometimes He says yes and sometimes He says no.
And when He says Yes, oh man I dance with Joy. It is like your Daddy buys you a chocolate.

"Seek His Kingdom first and everything will be added."
The finances you receive monthly FROM GOD is for His Kingdom.

Ask Him how He wants you to spent His money.
I have a few testimonies about this that I will share in my next letter ( part 2 )

Remember one thing: God can spoil us. So do not be surprised when He says Yes. Like He spoiled me with Machu Picchu...

This will also deepen your relationship with Him, because you would start trusting Him to take care of you and your family.

Thanks for your time.
May God bless you with His presence.
