Greeting to all of you, I hope you are all doing well ! I finally come back with some news, I apologize for this long period of silence !
I'm gonna talk first about our last days in Guyana. Very rich in experience !
Let's talk about the bad experience first. One morning I woke up with a small pumple next to my right eye. Unfortunately, I have the bad habit of scratching, and the next day an infection started. We waited an extra day, but realised that it was getting worse, so we went asking member of the church where I should go to have some medical care. They adviced us to go to the closest place, which is the military base. I went there and had one of the most painfull experience in my life: the doctor-soldier tried to squeeze the pimple so that the infectious liquid can go out but it didn't work ! I was in so much pain for nothing ! And as you can imagine, the next day the infection was even worse. The next monday, I went to an hospital were I was able to see an eye-specialist who gave me antibiotics and special cream and everything for free ! Medical care in Guyana is free, thank you Lord ! In a few days, the infection went better and I was able to open my eye again normally !
During the last day of our stay in Guyana, we also went to visit a Missionary school. One of the particularity of this school, is that it is build in the middle of the jungle ! And to drive there, a friend of the Pastor took us behind his truck. So you can imagine a truck with open area at the back, with 15 people in it, trying to avoid the branches while driving trough the jungle: it was epic ! Once at the missionary school, we listen to some of the teachings, worshipped with the student, had some fellowship... The girls of the team had the opportunity to spend some time with girls of a girl-house, while the mens visited different area where the student achieve there daily duty: they are divided in different areas, some of them work in the kitchen, some of them in a Carpentry and there is even a small farm were they do some gardening and take care of porks and poultry !
After this visit, we went back to the church spend our last moments with Pastor Deo, his wife and some friends. I can only thanks God for everything that he teach me and all the inspiring person that he put on our way.
Our next destination is Jamaica !
