What an amazing country! Turkey was really a blessing to me. The food and the people made it so loveable. Let me tell you what we did in Turkey.....
We arrived in Istantbul and traveled to Kusadasi. There we stayed at a wonderfull hotel called Hotel Sezgin. The managers of the hotel was so friendly. The same as the rest of the people in Turkey. People would come up to us to talk and even invited us to spend time with them and then they would treat us with all kinds of Turkish dishes for free. The food in Turkey was also delicious. They of course have the world famous Turkish Delight and they really make it the best in Turkey. Then they also have a wrap that they call a Doner Kebab. It is filled with chicken or lamb with all kinds of sauces and goodies inside! MMMmmmmm!
The second week we went to Adanna. We stayed in a prayer house and the pastor was very friendly and helpfull. We served the church
in all different ways like gardening, cleaning and inviting people to the church. We arranged for a South Africa day and most of the Turkish could say 'lekker pannekoek' at the end og the day.
In Adanna we realised how Christians is being persecuted for their faith and also how tightly the church body works together. Chucrh members gave up their families, their friends andeven their jobs to follow Christ.
Here follows a few photos from Turkey:
