Madame Guyon wrote in her autobiography: The presence of God was so plentifully given that it seemed to be more in me than my very self.
Come then to this fountain, without complaining to weak an impotent creature that cannot help you, come to prayer, and lay before God your troubles; beg His grace; above all, do this so that you may love Him.
None can exempt himself from loving, for none can live without a heart, or the heart without love. Let us love without reasoning about it, and we will find ourselves filled with love before the others have learned the reasons that led to it. Make a trail of this love, and you will be wiser in it than the most skillful philosophers. In love, as in everything else, experience instructs better than reasoning.
Come then, drink at this Fountain of living waters!!!
I read this knowing that God is my fountain and also knowing that I cannot be without Him. Still I beg of God that He will be more than my very self and that my knowing will not be enough. I do believe that there is value to the cross and that I should embrace the brokenness of it. During my travels to Gauteng and back I was so blessed with people around me and the wonder of God's goodness. I thank Him for every moment of laughter and tears. I thank Him for protection and travel mercies. I thank Him for the cross and the brokenness in it. What a wonderful God we serve!
May God be our Fountain of all things, and that we would love without reason. So I pray that we would experience enlightenment in every day about His love for us.
God bless
Charmaine
