Priority India

Priority India
Dear Global Challenge supporters The Northbound team is currently working at an orphanage in Kota , In dia . There are about 600 children accommodated in this Christian home. So often one becomes aware of the overwhelming need in the world, but doesn’t know how to get involved or whether one’s financial support will make a significant difference. Here in Kota we have enough helping hands and willing hearts , but a lack of resources, to complete the task. We identified the following projects to be the most urgent: •           Mr. Thomas , the manager/father of the orphanage, had to...

A story waiting to be told...

A story waiting to be told...
For it is in the brokenness of the soul that my spirit lives.    The last few weeks God reminded me of His grace and that it is indeed only by His grace that I am saved. Never will I make it on my own and never will I be enough. My daily strength only comes from God Himself. Waiting and yearning for Him in every moment is my only air to breath. He will make everything new in such a way that I will not find myself in it again. Therefore I pray time and time again: Lord,...

ENDURANCE

ENDURANCE
"For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised"  Hebrews 10:36 Israel had to wait for Moses to come back from the mountain... They waited... And their lack of endurance was costly. It is in the moments that we feel we can't wait any longer, we can't stand firm any more, that the victory is so close! The Lord want us waiting, waiting upon Him.      In my own knowledge and strength things can be done... will happen. But I ask myself is it in Godly time...

The value of the cross

The value of the cross
Madame Guyon wrote in her autobiography: The presence of God was so plentifully given that it seemed to be more in me than my very self. Come then to this fountain, without complaining to weak an impotent creature that cannot help you, come to prayer, and lay before God your troubles; beg His grace; above all, do this so that you may love Him. None can exempt himself from loving, for none can live without a heart, or the heart without love. Let us love without reasoning about it, and we will find ourselves filled with love before the...

Local Challenge - Vereeniging!
The weekend of 30 April until 2 May we had our Local Challenge in Vereeniging. Eleven teams entered the challenge not knowing what they might find in this time... And wow did we find alot! The JOURNEY begins

The JOURNEY begins
Walking the journey God has set before us is a road sometimes only seen by patience and faith.  This gravel road leading into eternity. Looking ahead and stepping into today means that I am going... going in faith because I just know He will be there. Seeing the unseen and taking hold of each moment.     The eyes of faith see what others cannot see. Those who have faith live by a different standard. Those who can perceive eternity with their hearts will pay any price and make any sacrifice to be part of the city that God is building. Once eternity is in our hearts, faith...
