They are worth it!!

The headlights of the bus lightened the entrance to the orphanage and a young boy ran to open the gate. As the door of the bus opened my heart replayed well kept memories; I am where my heart is.

Standing and embracing the moment I dared to look around to find familiar things, children and or faces. Behind me I saw his smile, joyful and alive. “You are here”, I exclaimed! Lun the Kitchen boy, my boy came to greet me. Having no contact for more than a year I was hoping he was still here. With no time wasted I rejoined with most of my boys, making enough time to share memories and to listen to all their

stories.

Persecution that continued for 2 years forced a lot of children back to the streets, pressuring them to steal and survive. Many girls have become victims of older men and the others fell into the destruction of drugs. Bedrooms and school desks are empty and the children long for their best friends to return, but the enemy is doing everything in their power to prevent it.

Karan a new boy, 4 years old, arrived 1 month ago. The room leaders are challenged daily because he continues to cry, longing and hoping for someone;

his mother, he cannot remember, to comfort him. Without a second invitation Karan ran to me and embraced me, holding on not to let go. He is so small, he still needs his mother.

Every day I have been challenged to love without limits, touch and affirm as many smiles as possible. It overwhelmed me there are so many children how can I love them all the same? In the silence of my heart God responded:”I AM ENOUGH!”
We decided to tackle the school and change the environment of the school facilities. We sanded the walls and repainted all the classrooms, blackboards and the outside walls. Many children joined us in celebrating their brand new class room. We are pushing to finish this project by the end of the week.

James 1:27 …take care of the orphans…

Pray for the Children!
