Expect the Unexpected

One of the reasons why I applied for “work your way” was definitely Israel. After a view weeks of Training in South Africa, there was no leader and too many young guys in the “work your way” team.. God had different plans for me. I prayed and decided to join “Hidden World”, the only team which doesn't go to Israel. :(

So I prayed that God will make a way to go to Israel. And the last days of training the opportunity for our team to go to Israel was given. So our team prayed and we decided to do it for 12 days!! Israel is supposed to be our 3rd country but we didn't get visas for Macedonia the second country, so we went earlier to Israel! :D Overall we are staying for 4 weeks!!! I would never have expected to be in the promised land for such a long time!  GOD IS GOOD!

Hiking on the first week parts on the “Jesus Trail” along the sea of Galilee made the gospels become alive. Seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling and tasting what Jesus probably did, gave me a total new  understanding! On the way God blessed us with incredible food f. ex. huge grapefruits, mandarins, pomegranates, tons of bananas, avocados, spinach, left over meatsticks, bread, 25 fresh fish from the sea of Galilee…->Promised Land

After a week of adventures we traveled to Bethlehem and got surprised by the northbound team :D our leaders didn't tell us that we will meet our brothers and sisters from the northbound team! The coolest  surprise ever!! “Expect the unexpected!” so we encouraged each other and worked together for almost a week until my team left for Tel Aviv.

Nobody of us knew what will wait for us in Tel Aviv, we just had the address… God blessed us again: this was the total opposite of previois week , building a church into a cave in Bethlehem where we didn't get to know anything about their ministry.. This time God provided for us about 3 spiritual inputs every day, worship sessions, Food, accommodation,  amazing testimonies and a whole Family serving us. We learned so much about God's chosen people,  the olive tree we, gentiles, were grafted in like a branch (Romans 11), the restoration of Israel and it's people (Ezekiel 39; 21-29).

We celebrated Shabbat together, prayed over Tel Aviv and watched a movie in a public cinema about a Jewish believer, called Jacob Domkani, with a very clear message about Yeshua. This is actually a miracle that a movie like this is shown in cinemas in Israel. Especially when you think of the way Christian are seen in this country… God is really busy with Israel! He is pouring out his Spirit! => Expect the Unexpected!!

And be blessed!!!
