I saw the Tower Bridge lift and heard the Big Ben sound. I saw Trafalgar, Westminster and Hyde Park ... places only heard about in movies and newspapers - "MUST visits". I saw castles, shops and had so many options of places to visit that I couldn't pick one! I thought that's what London was about, and that's the kind of stuff I'm gonna tell at the end of it. Come to think of it, I didn't really think it was the kind of place where you're gonna see the God of the Bible alive and working - especially after experiencing His daily guidance and totally depending on Him in Mexico.
Picnic at Leeds
BUT I DID FIND GOD IN LONDON!! I found Him in a dad playing with his child on the tube, a tree turning into autumn colours, birds chirping merrily at daybreak, a little girl's laughter, in seeing God's people serving others and seeking His will, in a moment of surrendering my fears... In London, I found a God of love! He taught me that there is nothing on earth as important as me realizing how much He loves me! I've learned of God's delight in me (Is. 62, NLT), His unfailing love, even in the times when I fail Him (Jer. 31, NLT)!
I'm so thankful I came to London - at this stage of the journey and this time in my life. This is where He taught me exactly what I needed to know for every single day of the rest of my life - THAT HE LOVES ME! He is faithful indeed! And His grace and timing perfect!
Thank you so much to every person who made my time here so special - especially the guys I stayed with, the "sel" groups ... and those who smiled back in the tubes!! I loved London!
