India, I'm ready!

By: Elizma

I look out the airplane window, and way down I see the country of India. From up here it still is only patches of different shades of brown, patches I've never seen before. But somehow I still write in my Bible, next to Isaiah 61, the text received for this country: "FIRST time on airplane to India". How much more are there gonna be ...?

As we start to descend, the normal feeling of fear grabs my heart. But this time there's something more. There's a burden for a people I've never met, a sadness for a country I've never set foot on, and above all, a joyful expectation of spiritual growth and definite vision. I do not know this country, the people, or what exactly lies ahead, but I do know their Creator (Ps 139:13-16), their Salvation (Heb 5:9), and the Kingdom that's close at hand for them (Luk 10:9). I do know that He does not want any of these ones to perish. And my fear breaks into a smile of expectation! For I know the Father plans to visit India to release, rebuild, repair and revive (Is 61:1,4)!!!

Acts 28:28, "So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it."
