The foothills of Mt.Elgon

When we arrived in Kiminini (Kenya) at our host, we had been welcomed by his family and his extended spiritual family too: Two Mamas with the biggest hearts and smiles I’ve ever seen. They invited us to come to the village at the foothills of  Mt. Elgon just across the border in Uganda, to come strengthen and encourage some more family members. And we did.

It started with a very African ride to the border- 17 people squeezed into the back of a single cab bakkie. We crossed over the river and checked in at the Uganda custom office (a little building next to the river) where we were warmly welcomed and quickly helped. One of the Mamas was there waiting for us and escorted us up to our host’s home, and of course, we continued (eating till there’s nothing left) for the gospel. We stayed their in this rural village for a few days, and were joined by William and sister “Shoe shine” for two week's, we spent time giving and receiving some teachings and then moved on to the next few villages doing the same all over Mt. Elgon.

We were assured that we were just in the foothills of the mountain, and at every point we stopped it was pointed out to us. It was really a good opportunity for each team member to prepare a teaching and practice our giftings, and most definitely to learn from the people there! None of us can say we weren't inspired, or challenged by these amazing people! And that's the beauty of coming together: sharing our hearts and discoveries and learning from every person we encounter. We were welcomed, served, and loved. And we really came to love everyone we met.

Please keep these on fire, passionate believers in your prayers, and know: they're praying for you, and so are we.

Lots of love,

EA
