This was one of the best weeks. Let me start at the beginning at the prayer walk.
We went on some prayer walks in Varanasi. Jeremy and I walked together, and before we started praying and asked God to show us where he wanted us to pray and for what, God gave Jeremy a picture of stairs and me a picture of a monkey god, and a man with a monkey sitting in the street [we saw him the earlier the day so we knew where he was] and a picture of a peace of red clothing with golden writing on it.
So we started walking but we walked in the opposite direction of were the man with the monkey was, somehow we ended up at the place with the man with the monkey and just past him was this big stairway. So we went and sat on the stairs and prayed. I prayed and asked God to forgive them for what they are doing, for worshiping all this gods and that God will reveal Himself to them. I prayed for every person that I could see.
After an hour this one man started talking very loud. Jeremy and I
turned around and looked at him, wondering what it is all about. Then another man answered us by telling us that he is drunk and he is swearing at the people. And then we just started talking to this man that answered us. And he told us that he was at the monkey god temple that morning. Jeremy kept on asking him questions about Hinduism and I kept on praying for him and for Jeremy for the right words. Suddenly out of the blue he said that he wanted to become a Christian.
Well we met up with him the next day and explained to him the Gospel and we gave him a small Bible and then he prayed with us asking God to forgive him and he accepted Jesus as his only Saviour. Hallelujah!
On our way home we got to share the Gospel with 3 other people as well.
After a week in Varanasi we went back to Deli on a 13 hour train drive. I didn't get any sleep because the train is shaking too much it feels like the thing is going to fall apart at any time. I was praying during the whole trip. And then just when I was about to fall asleep another train comes past half a meter from my head at a million km/h and hooting as loud as anything you can think of.
We went to the taj mahal on Sunday, what a beautiful building! It is enormous! And the whole thing is built of marble and with gem stones and the tip that is 10 meters long is out of soled gold. It is really an amazing building. We also saw the red fort. Agra is full of history and so is the whole of India. It is such an old culture. To think that some of these buildings were build 400 years before Christ.
At this moment were I am busy writing this blog we are on our way to Nainital on a train. It was a bit crazy getting on because we were all dropped at different places around the train station and the station is very big and India have a lot of people, some of us
almost didn't make it. On the last second all of us where on the train.
We don't know what we are going to do there but we are all going in faith. All we know is that God sent us there and here we go!
PS. As I am sitting here writing, a Muslim got up and started praying in the train. He went on his knees in the path way and went up and down up and down.
