Hi All
After a long time that I have not writen a blog I am back and ready for the new "adventures" that God has placed before me.
We are currently in South-America in Bolivia and is planning to go to Peru. We are on our Luke 10 journey but we have descided that we will approach this journey a bit differently that what we set out to do.
We have descided to sit down and submit to God and listen what he has to say to us before we just go and do things.
We set out from Sao Paulo in Brazil heading towards Bolivia. With a budget designed for 2 people for one month we are living on Gods grace. We are 3 people and and have 2 months to go. We quickly found that not listening can waist a lot of time and effort. We set out catching the first bus to get us out of town and arrived at Campo Granda which is just about half way between Bolivia and Sao Paulo. We spend the
night sleeping on the bus and had some awesum time with God. We jumped of and started hitch hiking towards the border which was still another bus ride away. We quickly found out that we are on the wrong side of the road and we turned around and took the next bus to the border. While turning around we connected to a local church which blessed us with some extra money to get us around. We listened to their faith story and prayed for their salvation as their teaching might not always be considered sound. We also found out that judging people will get us no where and we repented.
The next step was our faith on the border where we firstly received word that we did not need visas but yes we needed visas. So we prayed and listened to what He said we need to do. We made the big step and payed the money which was about half of the money we had left. We quickly receieved the blessings back when we arrived at the bus stop to continue our journey. We hooked up with ENGLISH people and we had some awesum
conversations. We slept on the bus again. In Santa Cruz we were helped by on of the english people which could speak the local languages. He pointed us in the direction of cheap accomodation an yes we received blessings back from visitors to the hostel. Praying for fallen individuals and unique people, we were blessed with money again.
Our plan was to find a job in Santa Cruz but we found it is not so easy to satisfy the flesh but when we turn the the spirit we get a lot of work and reap the rewards. Our luke 10 is maybe not the 100% copy of the word but we found when we keep our selfs busy with the things of the spirit we do not have to worry about the things of the flesh. Yes we are still short on money and yes the flesh still worry but we found that focusing on the flesh brings you no where.
In summary: The things of the flesh brings forwards the worries of the flesh. The things of the spirit brings forward the rewards of everlasting peace.
My prayer goes out to the rest of the team that is almost finish with their luke 10 journey and I know that God will provide if you keep your mind on the things of the spirit.
Henri, Pieter and Anthony.
