We have been traveling for the past two days and have now finally arrived at our final destination for the rest of our time in China.
We were informed on Monday morning that we should be ready to leave our hotel at any time to start our journey to our new town, where the Orange team would spend there days in China.
At 3 PM we finally heard that we should leave for Lanzau and then get a train there the next day.
Finishing up my packing, running to go and call the rest of the team and finding a bus all had to happen in as short a time as possible. So we packed in record time and caught the last bus for the day, just in time. God has a way of doing things on number 99.
Getting in Lanzau we spent the night in a hotel there at about R27 p/p sharing, and had some of the local food for supper. We had police following us the whole day and night. This was really weird but really funny as it was so easy to spot them following us. Every time our bus would stop they would stop their unmarked van in the middle of the road causing all the cars to have to stop and swerve out in order to not hit them. This was really funny as they truly thought we did not know they were following us.
Today at about 6am we left to catch our train and leave for our final destination, using the cover of dark and the hotels back door to lose everyone following us.
We are now safe in our new town and will spend a few days here and then have a hike into the mountains, spending a few days camping and having a new adventure.
Our main focus in this town will be to pray that doors will be opened for missionaries to come and live here and reach out to the people.
Please pray with us that God will deliver this mostly Muslim town and open the doors to the
gospel.
Blessings,
Herman
