The story continues: a handful of ashes for a crown of beauty!

Yesterday I wrote the blog about the story of a 20~year old girl and how she gave her life to Christ...handing her ashes to Him and having the faith that He might change it into something worth living for...something beautiful.

Well, her story doesn't end there...that is only the beginning!

That night, after the park encounter, John and Amanda Howard, our host missionary family, opened their hearts and house to this girl. Because, like I wrote in the previous blog, this beautiful girl had no contact with her family, her parents changed their numbers and therefore she had no place to stay on that rainy night (the lightning and thunder turned into a rain shower of blessings).

We stayed up till late that night listening to this, once quiet, girl's excited chatter about people that she met and things that she loved. A life that was hopeless, up to a point of giving up any reason to live ~ eyes that died along the way ~ immediately changed into an exciting fountain of hope and laughter, eyes sparkling because of the love of her Savior!

The next morning we ate breakfast with her and with happy hearts Kasia, Maxine and I shared our hearts with our new sister. Together we did a study of Hosea 2 and Psalm 139 and Psalm 27:10 and God soaked the four of us in His unconditional love and faithfulness... man, that was so beautiful!!

Oooh but here comes something, even more beautiful:

Later on that same day , 8 May, she came back to the house where we stayed, looking like a ray of sunshine!!! Her words were: "I spoke to my mother and she asked for my forgiveness!" Her parents welcome her back into their house again!  Yooohooo!!! God is so great...within 24 hours He changed her view of life, restored her hope and joy and reunited her with the family!  Impossible ? Now, that`s my KING!!!

Not only does He long to reconcile people to Himself, but He also longs to see us live a life of abundance while being reconciled to people around us!!! JESUS IS ALIVE AND HE SAVES, HE RESCUES AND SAVES!!!

When we hand our ashes to Him…He is faithful and, like this girl, we can trust Him to turn it into something worth living for…something beautiful!
