A journey through the Hidden world

Day 1

The first day was our day of faith. Completely surrendering and just doing as God tells us to. We got our first lift just outside town at the entrance of Mike and Adelle (from Crossroads) new home called “MOOIBOS”; they took us all the way to Antigua – 4 hours. Our second lift was a very old pick-up but it was sufficient and it took us all the way to Guatemala city, as we were walking down the street quite hungry I prayed and asked God where we should get food and very clearly on the wall across the street it said very big:”Corazon de Jesus” which in Spanish means the heart of Jesus. So we went in there asking if we cannot help in the kitchen or something that maybe later we could get some food. The lady we were talking to told us to sit down. 10 min later we receive a full course meal with Juice and fruit salad – our God is amazing. So as we left there knowing that where were not in a very save neighborhood, we went looking for the bus or truck stop where they leave for the border of Honduras. A Family picked us up and took us to the bus station and there we found the name of the street we are supposed to go to. While we were on our way to the street Janus saw a pick-up with “family” and Liesl went to them and asked if they knew where the street was. They said that they were on their way there so we should get on and ride with them. Through the back window Liesl started telling them what we are doing and why we are travelling. The man replies with:" I AM A PASTOR". WOW. They invited us to join them for the night. We stayed there and God gave me a message for the pastor and the pastor a message for me. They prayed and anointed us that night. They also gave us a contact they had in Honduras but only the churches number and the Pastors name.

Day 2

Day 1 had so much already. Well on day two we were determined to reach the border. We left their home at about 11am they took us to the petrol station where the trucks leave from. There our first lift was an Ice cream truck-and yes they gave us ice cream. Our next lift was on his way to Puerto Barrios on the Caribbean coast. He would drop us on the way to where you can go to the border but we felt to join him all the way to the coast. When we were on the truck we were talking about food and that it would be amazing if we could eat each kind of fast food. As we got off there was a Mac Donald’s and I needed the bathroom. So we went to the Mac Donald’s and there we decided to ask if they maybe have old food they were not going to use. They told us to sit down. We told them our story and maybe 20 min later we each received a double cheese burger, fries, and Coke. WOW. After Mac Donald’s we decided to go down to see the coast. The truck that picked us up took us there but the guy in the truck was looking at us as if he has seen a ghost. Eventually he asks us where is the other two people… he tells us that he say us today while hitch hiking and we where 5 people. That was amazing because we knew it was God’s angles protecting us. We walked to the coast line and that’s where we decided to pray for the people of this town. The spirit of lust was very strong in this town. As we walked up the street we prayed for somewhere we could go we felt foreigners or church. We walk past an old guy in his shop and Liesl went to ask him if he knows of a place called Pedro rojo – red rock (this was the theme of our trip – God showed Liesl a Vision about a red rock and since then anything red and round we would find, you will see the theme throughout our journey) so the guy said NO and gave us Q3 (R3) for our journey but told his sun to take us to a church. As we get to this church there was a service about to start. The Pastor invites us in and even gives us a place to stay before the service starts. In the service we decide to give the Q3 as an offering.

Day 3

As we greeted the pastor He kept on saying something about Rey Express. We left there and an hour later we were at the border. A Woman took us all the way well we thought it was the border but here in these countries they have two borders one to leave the one country and another to enter and they are at least 10 min drive from each other. As we left the one border a taxi picked us up free of charge and took us to the other border. At the border we met up with a guy from tropigas got on his pick-up all the way to San Pedro Sula(Honduras) he gave us 500 Lps about R250 and told us it is not safe in Honduras we should take a bus. So on our way into town to get a bus we hitch-hike on the back of a black pick-up and while Janus and I are on the back Liesl is in front sharing our story. As we stop somewhere Liesl gets out and tells us what this man says he is also a Christian and God told him to go to San Pedro Sulfa on this day but he did not know why so when he met us he understood why. He bought us water and food gave us another 500 lps(R250) and paid for a taxi to take us to the bus station. We decided to go to this church Pastor Eric in Guatemala City referred us to. In the Taxi we ask the driver what is the cheapest Bus and he says – REY EXPRESS. We knew we had to take this bus. As we arrived in Comayagüela we ask the bus station if they can call the Church. No one answered and we needed to find a place to sleep we found a very cheap place across the street and bought food for the night. The next morning we went back to the bus station and asked if they can call again. They reached the church and the church invited us to go to them. A Man picking up a package overheard this and said he would take us to the church. After waiting a while for the pastor he comes in and immediately tells us we may stay. Only later we heard that God told him that we are angles and he should welcome us.

Honduras Continues

A lot of things happened in Honduras and God really provided for us –a place to sleep and breakfast, lunch and Dinner every day. The woman of the church all wanted to make us food so we ate at different houses daily. I was amazing and we helped where we could. Woman ministry, painting, children ministry, church, families and much more. God was really in control.

When we said goodbye to the pastor – he and his family had to go to a conference in Guatemala – they gave us so much. Presents and money almost R600 and we were planning on leaving the next day but God had other plans. There was a big political crisis in Honduras and we were not allowed to leave the country for the next few days we were locked in. Eventually there was a chance but the church did not want us hitch-hiking, they also got together money and gave it to us almost R300 so now we were on our way to the border of Nicaragua.

Nicaragua

As we arrived in this county we decided to call a friend of Liesl to see if we could visit and say hi. He told us that we should stay with them and gave us his address. We got there through hitch-hiking and then a taxi. Jucci(Liesl friend gave us soooo much they gave us food and a place to sleep and English companionship) was an amazing blessing to us he even paid for us to get all the way back to Guatemala City.

In our time in Nicaragua we were not sure what we should do there so we went scouting for churches to find ministry. We found a lot of ministry and two churches that really blessed us in abundance. We were part of feeding programs, schools, hospitals, families and even Spanish TBN many more.

We even shared in a youth group but that’s a blog worth of a story.

This is where God came and took hold of me.

And this is where I want to share my heart.

God showed me three things before our journey started.

1.

my first vision was a girl looking to the mountains and at the foot of the mountains was an airport

2.       Second thing was a dove that looks like this

(only the emblem inside the world.)

3.       Third thing was

a bubblegum stand next to a pillar.

Well in Managua we were walking the one day to the church called covenant and right in front of the church is where God jumped in and we made a new covenant of unity with each other. Running down the rest of the street because the church was not open and it was raining we reached a shopping mall called la Union. There we spent time together reuniting our journey. As we walked out I saw the bubblegum stand and the pillar exactly as in my vision. I knew we had to be here.

The next thing that happened we went with Jucci and his girlfriend to a place called Loma de tiscapa AND THERE IS WHERE I saw the mountains from up high and the airport.

The last thing was we drove past a church and a service was about to start so we went in and joined. The emblem of this church was exactly what I saw.

This day was amazing and it was a confirmation of so much.

We serve a living God.

our journey was 21 days long and every day God gave us so much.
