I've been away from home for more than a month now and I find myself thinking again can I hear God, will I ever hear Him or am I even listening... ? So now I'm looking back at these few weeks and everything that happened and if I've actually been listening, By that I don't just mean listening to a sermon or a teaching but also the experiences God have put me in and the challenges I've faced. Although there is probably a lot of experiences filled with Jesus in these few days, there is one that I just can't shake.
So we were in this house church in the middle of a township just outside of humansdorp and how we got there is a wonder on it's own because we did not hear God tell us to go He just made it happen. These next few words might seem very obvious to you but it made me think, the pastor or house church leader said "Jesus is not a feeling, He is a fact". And for a while I was wrestling with these words and thinking yes but you also feel Him don't you, isn't it when you feel Him that you know His there. But the fact still remains that He is there even if we don't "feel" Him. For the first time in my life I realised that God have always been there and He will always be with us, isn't that the good news that God made away to always be with us. All we have to do is step out in faith. Because God can put us through something and will only be able to hear what He wants us to hear after it happened.. so are you listening ?
