In the race of life, specifically this year of GCEX, we start off with so much excitement and enthusiasm.
You’ve prepared for this as best as you could.
The trigger of blessings is pulled and you give your first step.
Hey, this tempo is quite comfortable, even thought the route is not always so clearly indicated.
While running, you get some forks in the road and make your choice.
Sometimes you’re down, sometimes you go up.
Sometimes, many times after a long downhill, you hit a dead end and all you can do is turn around – run back up the hill!
Then, somewhere in the middle of the race, you get tired.
You don’t think you can make it any further.
You look at those running beside you, and their breathing is uneven too.
But no one really stops to rest. We keep our goal in mind: We’re running to our Father.
You might get those who decide to stop or just fall behind – they’ll still see the whole journey, it just takes much longer.
You have the comrades who encourage the ones who forgot why they even started this race. span>
Then you start seeing the finish line.
And you give it all you’ve got.
You sprint with all you have left,
Not to be the winner in the team, but to finish strong, because you’re running for your Father’s glory!
In giving your all ‘till the end, are you more tired?
For sure!
You just want to lie down and get your breath back – and you can.
But after you’ve done that,
It’s time to get back up.
The next racers are lining up.
They’re excited for the journey.
So GCEX 2012 – I’m up, here I come!
