Sounds of sorrow, shouts of Joy

The rocking sound of a generator in the background is whispering bits and pieces of the story of Zanzibar – and  Africa: about falling and standing up and falling again, and eventually getting up again..
It becomes a famaliar sound, like the screaming Imam's voice
and together they tell the story of this Africa – her pain and sorrows, her bondage and her everlasting struggle.
Yet, the children keeps on greeting friendly and the sun keeps on shining and somewhere inside of me a ray of hope shines through the crack of these prison walls.

For a Savior is on His way
to reveal that the battle is over
Shouts of victory will be heard
and forever your slaves will be free!
