Above All

It's sunrise in the Himilaya mountains, India. The sun is painting the clouds pink and is revealing mountain after mountain...silhoutted against the ever changing pink and red sky. The mountains are proudly displaying their incredible snow covered peaks.

As I'm looking in awe at the peaks, I am experiencing God's perfection and almighty power and above all...his amazing love. The mountains are huge, over 7000 m high, but so perfectly created, every detail perfect. It's overwhelming to think that the same God that has the power to create such incredible beauty, created us with the same perfect touch. We can't even be compared to the mountains in size, but I know that God loves us so much more than each, awesome mountain.

God's love is so similar to the awesome mountain peaks. They are reaching high up into the sky, way higher than anything else I've ever seen. They are huge and completely filling my view. From left to right, it's just mountains everywhere. The mountains seem never ending. They are awesome and absolutely perfect. God's love is so much bigger than anything I've ever experienced. It's never ending. It's absolutely perfect. God's love is everywhere you look. You just need to want to see it.

The mountain peaks are basically out of reach to everyone. The only people that ever reach the peaks are committed climbers that are willing to risk their whole life to enjoy that moment on the peak. They are completely rewarded by the great view and that glorious moment on the peak. God's love is like that highest mountain peak. The only people that can ever fully experience God's love are those who are willing to risk their whole life. They are dedicated to search for God everywhere and in every situation. They trust God in every difficult situation, even if it seems impossible. They are completely rewarded by the love that they experience when they reach the peak.

Unfortunately, there's not many people willing to sacrifice everything and die within themselves to fully experience God. I had to look hard into my own life to figure out if I'm going to be one of them. And yes, I'm going to be a mountain climber for God. The challenge is on...are you going to join me in the climb?

The song, Above All (Michael W Smith),  is describing God's love for us:

Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders
The world has ever known
Above all wealth
And treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure
What You're worth

Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature
And all created things
Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man
You were here
Before the world began

Crucified
Laid behind the stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Like the rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

With love from the Himilayan peaks
