we arrived in Krasnoyarsk on the second of July. Our team was divided into two: four of us stayed in Krasnoyarsk to present African Cultural evenings to the Russians. This made us really homesick. The fist week was very busy. During the morning, we planned and worked out a program for the evening and in the afternoon we played sports. During the cultural evenings we talked about our different foods, cultures, cities and history. We even demonstrated some dances like kwaito and sokkie...we also performed Waka Waka....ALOT. During this first week, we had some time to minister to the people and it was reat to see God at work. We went to a small town called Divnigorsk, to do streetministry. The town is incredibly beautiful and we had a great time with the people there and I wasencouaged by the people that minister in their own town - they don't even need to go far to share the gospel with people, they start close to home.
The next week we had the mornings to ourelves...we rested and spent some time in the word. In the afternoons we played sports and built relationships with the youth in the church. They are really wonderful people.
Our time in Krasnoyarsk cazmed to a close and it was difficult to say goodbye...we boarded the trans siberian train and stayed on it for 3 days. What an experience!
We arrived in Moskow and spent time with a South African misionary, Corrie and his leadership training ministry called "Motivi Tri We received great spiritual input and also had a day of silence, where we were only allowed to spend time with God.
Russia has been the best country for me so far...spiritually and physically. I really hope to go back there someday.
God Bless!
