Greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!
We safely arrived from Egypt yesterday night, and we were woken up quite early this morning as Hattingh and Sally handed us our second challenge for the year. The race begins!!!
We first headed to the Petronas Towers to go up 40 something floors and stand on a skybridge overlooking the majesty and mystery of Malaysia's capital city. Then we went to Batu Caves where we joined the monks' daily climb of 272 steps to a temple hidden in a breathtaking cave.
Lunch on the go was roti with curried curry, and a cheerful ride with our newfound Malaysian taxi driver friend to go have some fun in the Sunway Lagoon amusement and water park. We had an amazing three hours of splashing through water rides, laughing at each other and reliving the inner children within us. What a refreshment that was in the humid heat of Malaysia!
Next up our challenge took us to KL Bird Park and afterwards to the Sri Mahamariamann Temple where we admired the skillful architecture.
Currently we are waiting for a special delicacy from the Frog Porridge Hawker... Wish us good luck!
Finally we will head off to Thailand at midnight where we have the other half of our challenge to complete. We will then serve the local community by building houses with a local pastor.
Orange greetings,
Liesl, Yvonne, Johann and Henri
