Thailand has captured my heart with the breathtaking beauty of its nature, and the kindness of its people. The laughter of kids resound in my ears as I am working here in the garden of the community centre, pulling out weeds and the odd worm. The sun shines in full splendour, and one of the little kids run to me with a huge grin and a glass of ice-cold water. The Lord whispers to me, "Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 45:10). His presence is...

"Here are my servants, whom I uphold, my chosen ones in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on them and they will bring justice to the nations." - Isaiah 42:1 (plural added) The Lord has been preparing his servants in powerful ways these last five weeks. Listening to teachings, practically serving at the primary school, creating projects and working in our teams have brought all of us closer to the heart of Jesus as we are being empowered to bring the good news of salvation with healed hearts and in power and love to the nations. All the teams have been finalised for GCEX 2009. South Bound has been divided into four groups - Red, Pink, Yellow and Orange. They will be led by Megan, PJ, Paul and myself, under the overall leadership of expedition leaders Hattingh and Sally. The official ORANGE TEAM for GCEX 2009 is (drum roll please)... I am very excited for what the Lord is planning for our team this year, and we invite you to follow our journey around the world by reading our testimonies and praying for us.
Greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! We safely arrived from Egypt yesterday night, and we were woken up quite early this morning as Hattingh and Sally handed us our second challenge for the year. The race begins!!! We first headed to the Petronas Towers to go up 40 something floors and stand on a skybridge overlooking the majesty and mystery of Malaysia's capital city. Then we went to Batu Caves where we joined the monks' daily climb of 272 steps to a temple hidden in a breathtaking cave. Lunch on the go was roti with curried curry, and a cheerful ride with...

We are currently in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa for our training before leaving to Egypt on February 24th from where we will continue around the world. About 60...
I have felt the excitement of traveling again, I have seen the vastness of the Egyptian desert, walked where Jesus died and was raised, flew across 2 continents, and heard the laughter of Thai children, but nothing compares to knowing Jesus Christ my Lord for whose sake I have given my all. And as I stand with a shovel in the sand at the building site that we are working at in Thailand, I think back on the month that has passed. The 24th of February the GCEX 2009 team stood surrendered at the airport as we boarded...
