On arrival in Bangok, we received our first challenge...and what a challenge it was! It took the RED team 38 hours to complete, but we finally made it to Phuket.
The reason why we took so long to get here, was mostly because we got stuck in a little town called Hua Hin. We got dropped off there and then was taken to the police staion (we thought they could help), after that we walked to the train station and then to a gas station. At the gas station, we had to decide: use our personal money to buy train tickets straight to Phuket or rely fully on God to get us there in His own time.
We decided to trust.
As soon as we stepped out of the shop, there was some people who said they will take us to Wnag Poh- the next town. We barely even stepped out of the car when we gor our next lift to Sura Thani - about 200km outside of Phuket!
It was a gruelling and testing challenge, but we have really grown stronger as a team in this time...God is good!
We are currently in Phuket,
Thalang - painting a school. We also used our time for some exploring: we decided to go and see yhe "islands of Thailand". We payed half the price we were supposed to pay for the trip we got. We saw this as God's way of blessing us in seeing His amazing creation in full!
We also went to Patong beach, Bangla Road - where all the foreigners go for partying and "other" stuff. We prayed for the people there and we really beleive that God will change their hearts.
We are having such a blessed time here! We have been blessed with food numerous times and we are also delving into God's word more during this time.
