NEPAL, Katmandu, this is the ground on which we start our journey and what a journey it is going too be! First there are some things you should know about Nepal. There is the occasional power cut, pigeons flood the rails of rooftops, smog covers the foothills and hides the mountains from sight, the pollution a causes some locals to wear masks and prayer points and stone idols are spread amist the dirty, the strike is over and the streets come alive with cars , motorbikes, bicycles and people. Oh the people the wonderful, beautiful people of Nepal. I think I love you already.
Step by step we are moving forward little by little we are taking ground we will be light to these people and see the King of Glory come down, this is our job to simply come and then what? Then "I will make you as a light for the nations that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth (Isaiah 49:6). We will serve Him , we will pursue love and be genuine in it, we will love these people because God first loved us, we will wait on God and be obedient to his voice. This is my hope for our time here that the way in which we act and love the people will be a light to this nation and point people towards the one and only living God.
The christian community here they have an amazing gteeting, 'Gemasi' it means praise God, this is how they greet each other, they declaire God and bring him praise, how beautiful is that. There are not many Christians in Nepal but where there is darkness, there will the light shine ever more brightly, for even a small candle in a large dark room can be clearly seen, the darkness can not deny its existence nor can it stand in its way... "
"Greater things are yet to come greater things are still too be done i THIS city, your the light too the darkness, your the hope too the hopeless, you the rest to the restless, your the King of these people your The Lord of this nation you are..."
